In 2015, Rodney and Jane sold their business in New Hampshire, feeling the need to travel across the country, most of which they hadn't seen, while they were still young enough to go hiking and enjoy the journey.

They arrived in Alaska and by chance began volunteering with Alaska State Parks, specifically Denali State Park, falling in love with the state's beauty. They knew they would eventually need to return to the working world, so in April 2017, Rodney and Jane bought Moose Drop-In Trading Post.

They received the fudge recipes and training from Steve and Bonnie in the process so that they could continue the tradition established by Steve and Bonnie of serving the best fudge in Alaska.
